Meet the Team

Rick Kennedy Director Rick is the Sole director Focused Tax Solutions. He has in excess of 24 years experience in Public Accounting, primarily dealing with small businesses. He considers himself a primary production specialist and spends his time dealing with the more complicated issues that his broad base of clients encounter as well as the business of running the practice. He is a country boy, originally growing up in Pemberton in WA. He is married to Rackel and they have a combined total of 10 children. He is addicted to golf and has very little talent in that area.

Kelsey Lawrence
Director Kelsey was appointed director of Focused Tax Solutions in August 2018. She has worked at Focused Tax Solutions since 2008, providing taxation services mainly to small businesses who operate in a wide range of industries. She grew up in Northam and loves the country life, she is a community based person who enjoys playing hockey and spending time with family and friends.

Joanne Niski
Senior Accountant Jo is a qualified CPA who has seven years experience, she has recently come back to the accounting world after having a 15 year break to raise her kids. During her time away she has kept in touch with many of the law changes by working in the bookkeeping and administration fields. Currently working 3 days a week she has lived in the surrounding area since the age of 15. Jo is a family orientated person, she spends the majority of her spare time taking her kids the motocross and horse riding events. |

Johnnie Ho
Accountant Johnnie has worked at Focused Tax Solutions since the middle of 2016, coming straight from finishing his accounting degree at Curtin University. He is a fast learner and is quickly becoming a valued member of the team. He has grown up in Northam, enjoys all sports particularly footy, basketball and floorball and catching up with family and friends. |

Thomas Bennetts
Graduate Accountant Thomas has worked at Focused Tax Solutions since the July 2017. He completed his accounting degree at ECU and is currently completing his Masters in Accounting. He has lived in Northam since the age of 15 and enjoys singing, working with computers and just chilling out. |

Allison Ferguson Graduate Accountant Allison has recently started work at Focused Tax Solutions. She has completed her accounting degree with Curtin Univeristy. Born in Northam, Allison is the oldest of 9 siblings, and has 3 daughters. She spends a lot of time with community involvements, including playing and coaching hockey, and playing floorball. Interests also include gardening, crocheting and crafts.

Karen Szekeres Bookkeeper Karen joined Focused Tax Solutions in March 2019, working 3 days a week. Born in Northam, she has been working in accounting firms since she was 17 yrs old, including 7 years as a self-employed bookkeeper. Karen is a mother of 4 children and loves spending time with family. Karen's hobby/talent is cake decorating. |

Rackel Kennedy Office Manager Rackel has worked at Focused Tax Solution since 2011. Her role is overseeing the day to day running of our firm/Business/Practise, monitoring our systems and software and ensuring as a team we work together to give our clients and work colleagues alike a comfortable, happy and professional environment to be in. Her infectious laugh is often heard echoing through our office. Rackel enjoys talking to clients and is always happy to assist you any way she can with any day to day enquiries you have and relay details messages or queries directly to your accountant when required. Away from the office you will find Rackel enjoying valuable time with her family and friends at her much loved home, her interests include antiques, cooking and gardening. |

Cody Kennedy Administration/Bookkeeper Cody has worked at Focused Tax Solutions since 2015 and has recently been promoted to a company administration and bookkeeping position. She will still be in regular contact with clients as she performs her role and assists the accountants. She currently enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her family and friends and has recently discovered an interest in cooking.

Mackenzie Rak Receptionist Mackenzie has recently joined our team at Focused Tax Solutions. She is your first point of contact when you enter the building or call us. She has completed a certificate 4 in business. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking and socializing with people |
